1. What TossOrKeep does
TossOrKeep helps people check how long opened foods usually last, compare UK and US storage guidance, spot common spoilage signs, and keep a local list of opened items. Food guidance is general planning information, not medical, veterinary, or professional food-safety advice.

3. Cookies and local storage
Essential local storage is used for the site to work. Non-essential advertising and analytics scripts are blocked until you click Accept all on the cookie banner. Rejecting advertising cookies does not block access to TossOrKeep.

4. Google AdSense
TossOrKeep may use Google AdSense to fund the free service. AdSense scripts are implemented as consent-gated scripts and are not loaded by TossOrKeep before advertising consent. Once you accept, Google may process data as an independent controller. Read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
5. Sharing data
- Hosting and CDN providers process request metadata so the site can be served securely.
- Email providers process email addresses and messages when you contact us or join a list.
- Google AdSense receives advertising data only after consent and according to Google's terms and policies.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
- Search and event logs are normally retained for up to 90 days unless needed for security or debugging.
- IP addresses in operational logs are retained only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, or hosting diagnostics.
- Contact messages are retained while needed to answer and maintain a support record.
- Your fridge tracker stays in your browser. Clearing site data removes it.
7. Your UK GDPR rights
You may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Children
TossOrKeep is a household utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
